Metaps Plus, a mobile payment platform and will be partnering with Emurgo to accept Cardano’s ADA token. Emergo is one of the companies behind Cardano.
Emurgo announced that Metaps Plus, South Korea’s leading mobile advertising and payment platform, will be accepting ADA token. According to Coinmarketcap, Cardano is the seventh largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Metaps Group owns Metaps Plus, a fintech firm and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Metaps Plus’s has around 40,000 offline stores with over 10 million mobile to offline transactions and has over 1 billion downloads.
Metaps Plus CEO Kim Seungyeon said: “I am very excited to partner with EMURGO integrating Ada coin into one of Korea’s biggest mobile payment platforms.” he added, “We are simply focused on delivering incremental sales and value to our offline and platform partners along with Ada coin owners.”
A partnership like this proves Emurgo’s effort to promote Cardano and is playing a big role in pushing Cardano’s blockchain platform to the world.
Ken Kodama, the CEO of Emurgo commented on the deal: “Our partnership with Metaps plus will allow Ada to expand more rapidly and be recognized eventually as a new way for payment settlement in the Korean market.” he also added “I am very excited to be able to open a new era together through this platform.”
Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK said that the partnership with Metaps Plus and it could be a game changer for ADA. South Korea has an active Cardano community. ADA could be used for daily transactions with this partnership.
Cardano’s ADA, the recent partnership has not affected its price and fell from $0.34 to $0.32.
